A prolific writer, having co-written several plays performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, Shepherd"s stage play Cats and Monkeys has been produced as a British Broadcasting Corporation 4 Afternoon Play, with a cast featuring Anna Carteret, Jack Shepherd and the author She was a commissioned writer on the comedy sketch show (produced by Objective and shown on E4) and also wrote on the British Broadcasting Corporation 4 show Concrete Cow. In 2004, Shepherd appeared in an episode of Channel 4 sitcom in the episode University Challenge.
She reprised her role in the final season in 2015.
