Career
He is currently contracted to the Eastern Province Kings. Oosthuizen started his senior career in Johannesburg with the Lions, however, he was unable to hold down a regular starting slot and left having only made a handful of appearances. In 2013, he was included in the Cheetahs squad for the 2013 Super Rugby season and was named on the substitutes" bench for their match against the Sharks, but failed to make an appearance.
Again included in 2014, and made his debut by starting in a 21–20 defeat to the Lions in Bloemfontein.
Oosthuizen previously represented the University of Johannesburg in the 2011 Varsity Cup where he started all 8 of his sides" matches. Oosthuizen represented South Africa under 20 in the 2009 Institutional Review Board Junior World Championship in Japan.
