GRAY, Cecil was born on November 1, 1869. Son of late William Oliver Gray of Punch staff and Editor of The Day’s Doings.

Career

Two daughter; 2nd, 1906, Florence, est daughter of late J. J. Cockburn, Saint Thomas, West Indies. Editor, Ceylon Independent, Colombo, 1892-1896. Sub-Editor, Daily Express, 1901-1902.

Special Correspondent with Thibet Expedition, 1904.

Has travelled extensively in India, Australia, and Far East (numerous publications). Headed a special diplomatic mission to the Court of the Sultan of the Maidive Archipelago, 1898. On The Standard editorial since 1904.
