Initially, Cecile studied at François Rabelais University. Dogniez attained Doctor of Philology degree in Greek studies in 1987, graduating from Paris-Sorbonne University.
Cecile worked at French National Center for Scientific Research. Also, she held the post of an instructor at Centre de recherches Lenain de Tillemont in Paris.
During the period from 2006 to 2013, she taught the Septuagint at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes in Paris.
Cecile also led a seminar on the Septuagint in different French and foreign universities, such as Lille, Metz or Lausanne.
During the last few years, she was responsible, together with Bruno Meynadier, for the organization of conferences on the Greek Bible of the Seventy in Paris at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, then at the Maison de la Recherche.
Cecile also serves as a member of the editorial board of two international journals, JSCS and Semitica et Classica, which also regularly publishes articles on the LXX.
