Achievements include research in destructive seed-transmitted viruses which are either not known to occur in India or on host in India on which they are intercepted or are known to possess virulent strains; research in blackgram mottle virus was successfully detected in seedlings of four varieties of urdbean; development of DAS-ELISA protocol for detection npt-II in transgenic cotton seeds.
