Education
As a medicinal chemist, I received my Ph.D. degree at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Ataturk University, Turkey. My academic research area is related to synthesis, characterization and biological studies of the novel drug candidate compounds. Sulfonamides, pyrazole, and pyrazoline type compounds, Mannich bases, and their bioactivities such as anticancer, carbonic anhydrase enzyme inhibition are the main core of my studies.
Career
Totally 22 articles, 2 patents (continuing), 7 projects and presentations were published and presented at high-quality scientific journals and meetings since 2013. I have also more than 20 certificates such as a quality management system (ISO, HACCP, and GMP), laboratory safety, cell culture training, etc. To date, I have visited several laboratories in Italy and Canada for the purpose of scientific research. I have some experience in biological activity studies such as carbonic anhydrase inhibitory assays and cell culture laboratory studies. Recently, I have been working on the project that covers the synthesis of novel pyrazole carboxamide type compounds having potentially anticancer activity. For the future plan, I really would like to learn and practice QSAR and molecular docking studies.
