Career
Elected member, Nebraska House of Representative, 1918, re-elected, 1920. Elected, Lieutenant Governor., Nebraska, 1924, re-elected, 1926, 1928. Aided in promotion Nebraska State Highway System, Civil Administrative Code of State Government, 10 million dollar state capitol.
One of group responsible for adoption of pay as you go plan in Nebraska State govt, (as result Nebraska does not owe a dollar, has 11 million dollars invested in bonds for school purposes and two million dollars in bonds for relief of soldiers. Over 6 thousand miles of surfaced roads have been constructed and a ten million dollar state house built without a dollar of indebtedness).
