Pittsburgh Pirates
After the 2010 season, Valdez was acquired by the Pittsburgh Pirates as the player to be named later in the trade for Zach Duke.
Florida Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays
He was later traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for future considerations. He was released soon after he joined the organization.
Houston Astros
He was signed and invited to spring training in 2016.
