Career
C.P. Matthen became the Managing director and K. C. Mammen Mappillai was the Chairman. C. P. Ramaswamy Iyer, the Diwan of Travancore, targeted C.P. Matthen. His bank was liquidated on grounds that were subsequently proved to be unfounded and he was incarcerated in Thiruvananthapuram from 1939 to 1941.
After completing his term in the Lok Sabha, in 1957, he was appointed as the Indian to Sudan.
Died on June 2, 1960 in Paris, Île-de-France, France and buried at Thiruvalla, Kerala, India. Page 75
