On October 2, 2006 she reached her highest Women's Tennis Association singles ranking of 152. On August 3, 2015 she reached her highest Women's Tennis Association doubles ranking of 74. Her coach is Chan Fu Chen.
Chan, which began with the sport of tennis at the age of ten years, prefers to play on hard courts.
In September 2013, Chan secured at the KDB of Korea Open in Seoul, her first doubles title on the Women's Tennis Association Tour. Doubles (2–5).
