Angelo Siciliano was born in Calabria, Italy on 30th October 1892. He then migrated to the United States alongside his mother and settled in Brooklyn New York. He was very skinny and weak. He suffered several beatings and bullying from his uncle and his neighbors.
His mother, Teresa, a devout Roman Catholic, raised him in a waterfront section of Brooklyn, New York, while working as a seamstress in a sweatshop. They suggest that he lived much of his childhood with his father. His father was Santo Siciliano, he was a farmer.
