BURNEY, Charles was born on November 21, 1840. Son of late Venerable Charles Burney, Archdeacon of Kingstonon-Thames.

Education

Studied at Winchester College. Corpus Christi College, Oxford. Bachelor of Arts.

Career

Admitted a Solicitor, 1866. A member of the successive firms of Paterson, Snow, and Burney, and Paterson, Snow, Burney, and Bloxam, 1867-1877. A Chief Clerk in Chambers of Sir George Jessel, Master of the Rolls, 1877.

Master of the Supreme Court.
