at the age of twenty-five began work in the New York office of Hayes & Lauritzen. Between 1927 and 1932 Mr. Hoadley practiced in partnership with Jesse A. Hayes, and following two subsequent years spent in Montreal, Canada, moved to Hartford, where he continued active until the time of his death.
During his long period of professional practice Mr. Hoadley devoted his time mainly to designing homes of the Colonial type. It is said that more than a hundred suburban residences in New England, New York and New Jersey, many of them of imposing size, were built from his plans.
