Colonel 1885; served Indian Mutiny, 1857-1859. Present at surrender of Kirwee, at Sahao (despatches), Girwasa (despatches). Commanded in cavalry actions of Mahar&jpore, Jakoli, (thanked in despatches), and Mow Mahoni (medal and clasp for Central India).
Abyssinian Campaign, 1868 (despatches and medal). Egyptian War, 1882, present at Kassassin and Tel-el-Kebir (medal with clasp, Khedive’s star). Burmah Expedition, 18S5-S6.
