He was educated at Williams College in his native state, Mr. May later completed a course in architecture at Columbia University.
Remaining in New York, the young man found employment as draftsman in the office of Grosvenor Atterbury and continued to work there until 1918. In practice for himself during a few subsequent years, he was connected with several City Planning projects, and after 1925 when he formed a partnership with Mr. Hillard, devoted his attention to residence work with many fine homes in the metropolitan area of New York to his credit.
