Career
At the time, Poston’s constituency did not include the current precincts in Calcasieu Parish. Bryan Poston held the Senate seat from 1964 to 1992, when he retired and was replaced by James David Cain of Dry Creek in Beauregard Parish. Poston was married to Marjorie M. Poston (1899–1995), who was also a railroad employee.
In addition to son Bryan, the couple had two other sons, Poston, Junior., and Morris O. Poston of Leesville, the seat of Vernon Parish.
