Curtis, Charles Albert was born on October 4, 1835 in Hallowell, Maine, United States. Son of Charles Stubbs and A. F. (Ham) Curtis.

Education

Bachelor of Arts, Bowdoin College, 1861.

Career

Second Lieutenant United States of America, April 14, 1862. First lieutenant, March 30, 1864. Retired, December 15, 1870, on account of wounds received in line of duty.

Advanced to rank of captain of infantry retired, by act of April 23, 1904. Bvtd. captain, September 27, 1865, for meritorious services during the war. Professor military science and tactics in various instns., since 1870.

Colonel Wisconsin National Guard.
