Served in France with 109th Machine Gun Battalion, 28th Division, participating in 6 major operations. Later with 213th Coast Artillery. Promoted to brigadier general, 1941.

Now in command 33d Antiaircraft C.A. Brigade, Camp Huler, Texas.
