Career

Practiced Fond due Lac, Wisconsin, 1872-1883, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 1883-1891, and at Seattle, Washington, until retired. A founder and director Fond du Lac Public Library, 1875-1880. Member Wisconsin House of Representatives, 1881-1882.

Trustee Seattle Public Library, 1895-1900 and 1901-1908. Member Uniform Law Commission State of Washington, since 1905. Candidate on non-partisan ticket for justice Superior Court, Washington, 1910 (defeated).
