In 1976 he relocated to Provo, Utah and became involved in a variety of business pursuits while he continued to service a national clientele, reviewing advertising and representing clients before state and federal consumer-protection agencies.
He is recognized internationally as an expert in advertising, direct marketing and telemarketing, has authored books and multi-volume treatises on those subjects and represents clients throughout the United States.
After being admitted to the Utah Bar in 1981, Mr. Abbott expanded his practice to include local matters, again with an emphasis on personal injury and commercial litigation. Mr. Abbott has been joined by his son, Nelson Abbott, and more recently by Scott Walker.
