Educated at Delaware Literary Institute and Prattsville Academy. Graduate Auburn Theological Seminary 1854 (Master of Arts, Knox College, 1859).

Career

June 2, 1851; married second, Ophelia L. Higley. September 16, 1890; married 3d, Helene Louise Lee, June 21, 1898. Licensed to preach by Presbytery of Ithaca, June 7, 1853.

Ordained by Presbytery of Otsego, January 10, 1856.

In active pastorate of Presbyterian Church, 1854-1873. Editor and publisher National Presbyterian and Expositor of International Sunday School Lessons, 1873-1895.

Admitted to bar February 5, 1896. Author: The Muzzled Ox.

1866; The Christian Worker, 1869.

Commentaries on The Law of Trusts and Trustees, 1897. Monopolies and Industrial Trusts, 1898. Also sermons and tracts.
