DE CUTTOLI, Charles François was born on August 15, 1915 in Sartène, Corsica. Parents: Paul de Cuttoli and Catherine de Cuttoli (née Durazzo).


Janson-de-Sailly High School, Paris. Faculties of Law and Letters, Alger and Aix-en-Provence, second degree in law, first degree in literature. Institute of Criminology, Paris, diploma.


Delegate of Protection Association in Algeria, within the scope of the Evian Accords, 1963. Representative of French Residents in Algeria on High Council of French Residents Abroad, 1967-1975 and 1st Vice-Chairman of the Council, 1980-1984. Member of National Commission for Compensation of Overseas French Citizens, 1971 -74.

Senator for French Residents Abroad, 1974, reelected 1983. Vice-Chairman of Committee for Constitutional Law, Legislation, Universal Suffrage, Regulations and General Administration of the Senate, since 1980. Vice-Chairman of Senate Intergroup for defence of human rights.

Judge at the High Court of Justice. Member of High Council of Prison Administration. Chairman of Senate France-Algeria Friendship Group, 1981-1985.
