DENNISON, Charles George was born on November 21, 1844 in Cradock, Cape Colony. Son of late George Dennison.

Career

Nerved in Zululand in 1879. 2nd in command of the Border Horse. Later at Secocoeni’s, Boer War, 1881.

Served South Africa with Irregular Mounted Forces as O.C. Dennison’s Scouts, a corps he raised himself (despatches, four medals, Companion of the Distinguished Service Order).

Companion of the Distinguished Service Order 1902.
