Our practice has emphasized employee benefit law, representing companies, employer associations, labor unions, and public employers in administering health and welfare, retirement and other benefit plans for their employees. We advise clients on a wider range of employee benefits issues, including retirement plan qualification, fiduciary responsibility, benefit claims and plan communicating. We represent clients in Internal Revenue Service and DOL audits and employee benefits litigation.
In regard to collectively bargained jointly trusteed plans, we serve as general counsel as well as "collection counsel," id est (that is), we enforce the collectively bargained obligation of employers to contribute to their respective trust funds.
