Went to Europe, 1905, to study printing, especially the reproductive processes, spending nearly 10 years there. Lecturer, and collector early lithographs now in Library of Congress. Editor Journal American Institute Architects, 1913-1927.
Prominently identified with housing operations of the Government and a leader in fight to break the “pork barrel” public buildings bill in Congress.
