Noyes, Charles Phelps was born on April 24, 1842 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut, United States. Son of Daniel Rogers and Phoebe Griffin (Lord) Noyes.

Education

Educated Lyme (Connecticut) Academy, and Williston Seminary, Easthampton, Massachusetts.

Career

Began as clerk in banking house of Gilman & Son, New York, 1860. General merchant, Port Huron, Michigan, 1864-1868. Removed to St. Paul, Minnesota, 1868, and became partner in Noyes, Pett & Company, wholesale druggists, later Noyes Brothers, and since 1871, Noyes Brothers & Cutler, incorporated 1915, of which became president.

Also president State Savings Bank. Vice president West Public Company. Director Merchants. National Bank, St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company.

President Oakland Cemetery Association.
