Member Missouri House of Representatives, 1862, 63, 65, and 1881. Circuit attorney of St. Louis City and County, 1866-1872, lieutenant governor of Missouri, 1872-1874. Lecturer on law, Washington University, for number of years Specializes in criminal law.
