Charles R. Shaw's 'Immaculate Misconception' tells the unique true story of two tots who were adopted from a decimated, poor family into one of affluence. The initial prejudice toward the youngsters by certain new relatives made their lives miserable and contributed to the development of inferiority complexes. But upon adolescence their struggle to cope socially fostered touching episodes and even comical incidents. Happily, their transition from an impoverished background to a life of plenty proved successful -- but not without first having to experience the tragedy and horror of World War II.
