Brooks, Charles Timothy was born on June 20, 1813 in Salem, Massachusetts, United States. Son of Timothy and Mary King (Mason) Brooks.
Born in Salem, Massachusetts, he graduated at Harvard in 1832, then studied theology and in 1835 began to preach in Nahant, Massachusetts.
Pastor, Unitarian Congregational Church, Newport, Rhode Island, 1837-1871. Took charge of Unitarian Church, Mobile, Alabama, while wintering there for health, 1842, 51. Spent year in India for health, 1853-1854.
Traveled in Europe, 1865-1866.
