Stone, Charles Waterman was born on December 24, 1874 in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. Son of Waterman and Emily Clark (Steere) Stone.

Education

Educated University of Kansas, 3½ years.

Career

Began with Franklin Electric Company, Kansas City, Missoury, 1894. With W. S. Hill Electric Company, New Bedford, Massachusetts, 1896-1898, and Hancock Equipment Company, Boston, 1899. With General Electric Company, Schenectady, New York, August, since 1899, first draughting department, later construction engineering, in charge of consultant department, later manager central station department, then construction engineering.

  • Contributor numerous papers to engineering associations and lectured at various times before Engineers School, Washington, District of Columbia, Columbia University, etc.
