Admitted to Illinois bar, 1902, and practiced at Wheaton and Chicago, until 1906, at Wheaton since 1906. State’s attorney Du Page County, Illinois, 1906-1920. Appointed special attorney general by Edward J. Brundage, attorney general of Illinois, November 1922, and assigned to “clean up” work in City of Rock Island, later assigned to prosecution of interest suit against Governor Small.
Re-appointed special attorney general by Oscar E. Carlstrom, attorney general of Illinois, January 1925, and assigned to the same interest suit. Also appointed special state’s attorney McHenry County, 1928. City attorney of City of Wheaton.
