Charlie Murphy

Education

Murphy trained at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin 2006–2008.

Career

Murphy is one of six children. Her parents, Pat and Brenda Murphy, own a hair salon, and her father is also a born again Christian pastor. The family originally lived in Street John"s Manor, Enniscorthy.

They moved to Wexford town when she was 12 years old.

Achievements

• She is best known for playing the lead role of Siobhan Delaney in the hit Raidió Teilifís Éireann drama Love/Hate for which she won the 2013 Irish Film and Television Award for Best television Actress, and as Ann Gallagher in the acclaimed British Broadcasting Corporation One drama Happy Valley.
