Cho, Cheol-Joo was born on February 15, 1953 in Chungju, Republic of Korea. Son of Ung-Sik and Sang-Ae (Lee) Cho.

Bachelor of Architecture, Seoul National University, 1976. Master of City Planning, Seoul National University, 1978. Doctor of Philosophy in Urban and Regional Planning, Florida State University, 1990.

Career

Researcher KEPSI, Seoul, 1981-1982. Lecturer Chongju University, 1983-1984, assistant professor, 1985, associate professor, 1991-1995, professor, since 1996. Research fellow University Glasgow, 1993.

Visiting professor Florida State University, 1995.
