Bruder, Gentile & Marcoux, founded in 1976, practices extensively before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Department of Energy and the Federal Courts in a variety of energy-related matters. Each of the firm"s partners has substantial and diversified energy law experience.
The breadth of our practice is evidenced by the diversity of our client base.
Representative clients include investorand privately-owned electric utilities and their affiliates, cooperatively-owned utilities, natural gas distribution companies, interstate natural gas pipelines, industrial companies, utility trade associations and an energy investment fund. Our staff of seventeen individuals includes ten attorneys and seven legal support personnel.
The firm has conducted ratemaking litigation involving a wide range of legal, financial, economic and accounting issues. We have also conducted litigation and provided counsel on competitive issues in regulated industries, and we have experience with the antitrust laws and policies related to those industries.
Our attorneys have represented clients in regulatory matters involving cogeneration/small power production, hydroelectric licensing and utility mergers and emerging issues relating to utility deregulation.
We have also worked extensively with energy-related contracts (power sales, transmission, steam supply, gas supply and transportation) and in the area of market-based pricing of electricity.
