Began as printer’s apprentice, 1891. Family moved to Denver, Colorado, and father purchased newspaper, Denver Statesman, 1899. Upon father’s death took over management of the paper, changed its name to Denver Star and continued its operation, 1901-1913.
Moved to Kansas City, Missoury, 1913.
Founded Kansas City Call, 1919, has continued as editor, president of company and principal owner. Has been active in civic work.
