Chiemaru Yoshikawa was born in Nagoya, Japan in 1894.
Chiemaru Yoshikawa graduated from Law Department of Tokyo University in 1918.
Later Chiemaru Yoshikawa entered Nihon Ginko (Bank of Japan). Served at Osaka Branch from 1921 and Hakodate Branch from 1925 and became supervisor of New- York Agency in 1926. Made inspection tour of Europe.
Upon returning home was appointed researcher in 1929. Assigned to Moji Branch in 1934 and Osaka Branch in 1936. Became manager of Matsuyama Branch in 1937, and councilor stationed in Peking in 1938. Appointed vice-counselor of Chugoku Rengo Jumbi Ginko (Chugoku United Reserve Bank) in 1939, director of Kokusaikyoku (National Bonds Bureau (1940)), councilor of the same bank and vice-counselor of 'Ghina's Shobi Ginko (Savings & Reserve Bank) in 1942. He bcame director of Bank of Japan and manager of Hiroshima Branch in 1945, director of Nihon Teishaba Kaisha (Nihon Railway Station Company) in 1948. President of Juroku (16th) Bank beginning from 1951.
Chiemaru held additional posts of director of Sekai Keizai Chosakai (World Economic Research Society) and chairman of Gifu Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
