Career
Born to Mr and Mrs Kuriakose Knights of Pythias in a middle class Christian family, he was an inspiration to the Evangelical Christian Community through his testimony of having experienced remission from cancer the age of 18 after having received extensive chemotherapy. He died at age 26 after the cancer returned. Born to a Pastor"s family, Chikku often got the opportunity to harness his musical skills during his father"s worship services.
This helped develop his passion towards music and the Christian ministry.
At the age of 17, forty lumps were detected around his body. Chikku was diagnosed with Hodgkin"s lymphoma.
Over the next eight months, he received 36 chemotherapy procedures at the Clinic A, Regional Cancer Center, Thiruvananthapuram. The cancer subsequently went into remission, and he joined an evangelical crusade, attributing his health to prayer and miracle.
Seven years after the remission, Chikku began losing weight rapidly, indicating that the lymphoma had returned.
On 8 November 2014, he died at the Welcare Hospital Kochi.
