Education
He graduated from Designing Department of New York University. Later he went to France and studied dressmaking at Paris.
Career
After returning home she served as chief designer of Kanebo Spinning Company, instructor of Nara Women' s University and professor of Kyoritsu Women's University. She founded and became rector of Tanaka Academy of Dressmaking. Books include Watashi-no Dezain (My Designs), Watashitachi-no Seikatsu Techo (A Memorandum on Our Living).
