Career
His family emigrated from Manchester, England to Western Australia in 1992. He is the second eldest of three siblings with one older brother and one younger sister. He is also the father of two daughters.
As a day job Garner works as a stonemason to support his family.
Break dancing
Chris Garner was a break dancer as a teenager known for the ability to perform the famous maneuver the "headspin". In 2002 Garner traveled to Sydney for the X-Games where he performed 32 revolutions.
An unofficial record beating the official World Record of 28 at the time. Although Chris Garner was a talented break dancer who was a known name in Perth although soon found himself in trouble with the law through some ill-fated decisions.
Garner took a lifestyle change, taking up training in the art of Muay Thai inspired by the hit reality television series The Ultimate Fighter.

At Battle Collossal VIII Garner was given the chance to fight for the Western Australian title against Perth fighter "Kandy" Kane Henderson for the vacant WPMF Super Welterweight championship. King’s Cup 2009
5 December 2009 Garner represented Australia at the annual Thai King"s Birthday event where he fought United States of America Cyrus Washington.
State Title Defence
The bout was an action event with Garner given a standing 8 count in the first 30 seconds from a Capper punch that put Garner behind on the judges" score cards.
In the remaining four rounds Garner would rally back cutting Capper with an elbow in round three, the result after five rounds a draw with Garner retaining the WPMF Western Australian State Title. WBC State Title
With the introduction of the WBC Muay Thai State Titles Chris Garner faced former WBC Muay Thai International Champion Dusan Salva on the main event card of Battle Collossal XI, 30 October 2010.
The bout was for the vacant super welterweight WBC Muay Thai Western Australian title. In a five round battle the judges scored the split decision victory to Dusan Salva.
At the end of the bout Garner offered a rematch pending Salva"s management agreement.
