In 2009 he placed second in Britain"s Most Powerful Manitoba, and also came second in the United Kingdom Team Championships with Jay Hughes. However, it was not until 2012 that he began to make impression in the blue ribbon events of British strength athletics. He then emulated his Business Service Management performance at the United Kingdom"s Strongest Manitoba by finishing third once more.
HIs placing at Britain"s Strongest Manitoba qualified him for the World"s Strongest Manitoba finals in 2012.
He competed at We Shield Millions , though did not make it past the qualifying rounds. As a weightlifter his best lifts are 400 kg in the Deadlift, he has Log Pressed 170 kg and he also completed a 385 kg Squat in competition.

He was athletic as a child and at the age of 13 started training in Shot Putt going on to compete in the World Under 18s, World Juniors, European Juniors, and winning a silver and a bronze at the Commonwealth Games under 19"s in Australia. When he was 23 he began powerlifting and won British titles and came second in the World Junior 140 kg+ category. He was also guided in his training by Steve Winters and Paul Woods (the ex United Kingdom 105 kg champion). In 2012 he secured a 3rd place finish behind World"s Strongest Manitoba competitors Laurence Shahlaei and Terry Hollands at Britain"s Strongest Manitoba and he went on to win the UKSC sponsored England"s Strongest Manitoba title.
