Myriad Genetics (2013) case at the United States Supreme Court and the American Civil Liberties Union"s efforts in American Civil Liberties Union v. Reno (1997). Hansen was at the American Civil Liberties Union for 40 years, from 1973 to 2013, retiring as Senior National Staff Counsel, and the American Civil Liberties Union"s longest-serving attorney. He joined the American Civil Liberties Union in 1973, working with its new-found Mental Health Law Project.
