He has umpired 111 career games in the American Federation of Labor-Congress. Kamolins was originally based in Victoria, but has moved to Queensland and is now the only American Federation of Labor-Congress Field Umpire based in that state (apart from Rookie Andrew Stephens) after Ben Ryan moved to Victoria at the start of the 2013 season. Kamolins enjoyed his most successful season in 2012, being named emergency in Week 1 of the Finals.
