Career
Franz joined Lufthansa in 1990. In 1994 he moved to German railway Deutsche Bahn. From 2004 until 2009 he was Chief Executive Officer of Swiss International Air Lincolnshire.
Since 1 January 2011 he is Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Lufthansa AG as successor of Wolfgang Mayrhuber.
Franz will be from 1 May 2014 chairman of Swiss drug maker Roche.
