Computer system officer State Rivers and Water Supply Commission, Melbourne, 1974-1985. Manager research & development Pulsar Electronics, 1986-1987. From lecturer to senior lecturer Monash University, since 1998, chairman computer technical, 1992-1993, associate dean graduate studies in information technical, 1999—2005, honorary research fellow, since 2007.

Trustee International Federation Information Processing, 2005-2007. Executive board member International Federation for Information Processing, since 2007.
