Tufts, Clarence Albert was born on August 1, 1883 in Centralia, Illinois, United States. Son of George Demente and Ella Virginia (Gilbert) Tufts.

Education

Education high school, Belleville, Illinois. Under private teachers. Bachelor of Music, Strassberger Conservatory, St. Louis, 1906.

Graduate Guilmant Organ School, New York, 1910. Coached with Guilmant. Studied summer schools, Chicago Music College, Cincinnati College of Music. and Master Organ classes under Eddy, Doctor Heinroth, Courboin, Riemenschneider.

Career

Toured Eastern States, 1911, Western States, 1913, giving classical recitals. Settled in Los Angeles, 1917. Teacher voice, organ, piano and theory of music.

Was organist, Temple Baptist Church, Philharmonic Auditorium. Organist Arlington Avenue Christian Church, Los Los Angeles Former subdean and secretary Los Angeles Chapter of America Guild of Organists. Ex-pres, Los Angeles Musicians Guild.

Associate American Guild of Organists. Writer on Anglo-Israel Theory.
