Came to Allentown as City Editor, of Morning Call, 1909. Returning from World War, 1919, joined with Royal W. Weiler and Peter W. Leisenring in organisation of the Herald Publishing Company, purchasing the Allentown Morning Democrat and the Daily Evening Item. Disposed of evening paper, 1922.
Purchased the Morning Call, 1920, merging it with the Herald and continued publications since, since 1920. Assisted at Easton in organisation of Company for service in Spanish-American War, 1898. Mustered, 1898 as Company E, 11 Infantry.
Regiment; became first segt. of Company, 1898. Second Lieutenant, 1901, First Lieutenant, 1902.
