Brazer, Clarence Wilson was born on March 13, 1880 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Son of Christopher and Julia Wilson (Stackhouse) Brazer.


Graduate in architecture Drexel Institute, Philadelphia, 1899. D S. (honorary), 1942. Graduate in town planning.

Columbia, studied architecture in Van Pelt Atelier of Society Beaux Arts Architects, New York City, Europe, offices in Philadelphia, also 4 years in New York office of Cass Gilbert.

Began practice at Asbury Park, New Jersey, 1902. Established office New York City, 1905, with branch office at Chester, Pennsylvania, 1918-1936. Member firm Brazer & Robb, New York City, 1912-1915.

Principal works: Delaware County Court House, Media, Pennsylvania. Citizens Savings Bank, Fort George Presbyterian Church, New York City. War Memorial Bridge, Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.

World War Monument, Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. Residence of A.K. Ford. Minneapolis (A I.A. chapter award for best erected in Minnesota 1925-1930).

Trinity Protestant Episcopal Church, Syracuse, New York. Deshong Memorial Museum and Park, Chester, Pennsylvania. Dunwoody Home for Convalescents, Newton Square, Pennsylvania.

St. Paul’s Protestant Episcopal Church, Kitanning, Pennsylvania. Many schools, banks, residences, chs. public buildings Designed entire Westinghouse Village for 7,000 population at Essington, Pennsylvania Has restored several important colonial buildings.
