Career

Entered United States Public Health Service as assistant surgeon, 1897, retired as medical director, 1938. Engaged in hospital, quarantine, epidemic and special work. Has devoted much time to investigating pellagra.

Lecturer on public health and sanitary science, Post-Graduate Medical School, New York City, part of sessions 1914-1915, 1915-1916.

Was in charge of Hospital Division of P.H.S. and supervising all of P.H.S. work in furnishing medical care and treatment to disabled veterans, World War, 1920-1922.
