Admitted to Kansas bar, 1899. Practiced at Muskogee, Oklahoma, 1901-1902. Settled in Seattle, Washington, 1902.

Became United State Attorneys, Western District of Washington, 1913.

Then judge superior court. First Lieutenant and adjunct 22d Kansas Regimental Volumes, Spanish-American War.
