Career
He served for four successive terms until 1988. From 1989 to 1993 he served as a Treaty Commissioner. He was also Chair of the Saskatoon Health Board during the 1990s.
In 1988 he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan.
Wright died from lung cancer while in palliative care at a Saskatoon hospital on December 9, 2014, aged 87.
